WE WIRE FOR THE GARAGE YOU HAVE, NOT THE ONE IN THE MANUAL.

Charger manuals assume a mild climate. A Phoenix garage is not one. Most Maricopa County homes we work in were built before anyone drove an EV, with a panel already carrying two air conditioners and a pool pump. So we open that panel and run the numbers first. If the capacity is there, you get a dedicated 240-volt circuit and a charger mounted out of the afternoon sun. If not, you hear it before anything is bought, along with the options: a load-management device, a subpanel, or a 200-amp service upgrade.

THE JOB IS NOT DONE UNTIL THE INSPECTOR SAYS SO.

Working on day one is the minimum. We torque every lug to spec, label the breaker, mount the unit at the manufacturer's clearances, and paint exposed conduit to match the stucco when materials allow, so the HOA has nothing to write about. Then we walk you through the charger, schedule the inspection, and hand over the certificate of completion. Before the truck pulls out, the owner walks the job again.

WHAT PHOENIX PROPERTY OWNERS SAY

MAXCHARGED REVIEWS.

The reviews tend to cover the parts a photo cannot show: whether the permit came through, whether the conduit matched the stucco, whether the charger worked the first night. Read what homeowners and property managers said about how the install went, in the words of the people who paid for it.

Phoenix, AZ is the center of our residential work, and Maricopa County is the boundary. From Phoenix we run out to Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, Glendale, Peoria, Goodyear, Surprise, Avondale, Buckeye, and Sun City. The survey, the load calculation, and the painted conduit do not change from one city to the next.

A charger photographs well, and the details around it tell the real story. Look at the conduit that vanishes into the stucco, the breaker labeled in a full panel, and the commercial rows lined out and lit for the first car.

Common questions

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

Panel capacity, HOA rules, utility rates, monsoon surges: these are the questions that come up on nearly every site survey around Phoenix. If yours is not answered below, bring it to the survey.

  • How do you determine whether my electrical panel can support an EV charger?

We perform a load calculation and evaluate your panel capacity, available breaker space, existing electrical demand, and the charging speed you need. A panel upgrade is only recommended when the existing system cannot safely support the additional load.

  • Do I need the highest-amperage EV charger available?

Not necessarily. The ideal charger size depends on your vehicle’s onboard charging limit, daily driving habits, available electrical capacity, and how quickly you need to recharge. MaxCharged helps you choose a practical setup without paying for capacity your vehicle cannot use.

  • Can you install an EV charger if every space in my electrical panel is already occupied?

Possibly. Depending on the panel and calculated electrical load, solutions may include reorganizing approved circuits, installing additional equipment, using load-management technology, or upgrading the panel. We inspect the system before determining the safest option.

  • Why does my EV charger keep tripping its circuit breaker?

Repeated tripping can be caused by an overloaded circuit, incorrect breaker sizing, loose wiring, heat damage, equipment failure, or a ground-fault condition. Stop using the charger and have the circuit inspected rather than repeatedly resetting the breaker.
